CORE FOCUS

A yellow banner with red cursive text that reads 'Community & Neighborhoods'.
  • A great city is built block by block. We work across neighborhoods to make Chicago a place people are proud to live & grow — safe, vibrant, and full of opportunity.

A red rectangular sign with curved edges and yellow script text that reads 'Small & Medium Businesses'.
  • Cut the red tape so neighborhood businesses can grow, hire, and thrive. Chicago’s economy is built on its restaurants, family-run firms, and thousands of small and medium businesses — we’re here to make it easier for them to succeed.

  • Make city services work for people, not against them. Faster, smarter tools, less waste, and a government that’s easier to deal with — from permits to potholes.

OUR STORY

Chicago is taking punches — too often reacting to crises in public safety, finances, and politics instead of shaping our own future. And while the fingers point and the same old debate rages, too many neighborhoods have been left behind.

We’re not career politicians or power brokers — just Chicagoans who believe our city can do better. The Chicago Style Project is our way of stepping up to make that happen. We want to put Chicago back on the front foot by focusing on growth, opportunity, and bold ideas that actually work —  across every neighborhood.

We employ a working class, no frills ethos. Like a Chicago-style hot dog, we believe that when you bring different parts together, you create something greater - just like the city itself.

This is about more than reacting to problems. It’s about being proactive, pulling people together, and building a city that’s easier to live in, easier to grow in, and easier to call home.

The Chicago Style Project champions solutions that, like our city’s best traditions, are bold, practical, and built to bring people together. We believe real progress comes from listening, collaboration, and common sense — rooted in grit, optimism, and the unmistakable pride of being a Chicagoan.

OUR APPROACH

  • We gather voices across neighborhoods—through surveys, listening tours, and forums—and build coalitions with community groups, businesses, nonprofits, and civic leaders. We also surface and define the key problems that need solving.

  • We publish what we learn in plain language, with data, stories, and bold, practical ideas.

  • We make sure good ideas don’t sit on a shelf. For some solutions - we push for adoption by City Hall and other institutions, using media and public attention to accelerate action. Other times, when change won’t come fast enough, we build the solutions ourselves — like AI-powered chatbots that make city services easier to navigate

CHICAGO DOG INSPIRATION

Our ethos comes straight from the Chicago dog: working-class roots, no frills, and proof that when you bring a lot of different parts together, you can make something greater. Authentic & unforgettable — that’s Chicago Style.
